Lilly Learning Tree (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a private communication and school-van coordination app operated by Lilly Learning Tree (“the school”), located at Plot No 59, Main St, Dharampur, Sector 108, Gurugram, Haryana 122006. This policy explains what personal information the app collects, why, how it is protected, and the choices you have.
The app is used by parents/guardians, school staff (the van attendant/nanny and the administrator), and the school owner. It is not intended for direct use by children.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The school named above is the data controller. The app runs on Google Firebase and Google Maps (Google is a data processor acting on the school’s behalf). We do not sell your personal data, and the app contains no advertising and no third-party marketing trackers.

We collect location only from staff during an active ride. The app does not track parents’ locations, and does not track the van when no ride is running.
3. How we use your data
To sign you in securely; to plan and run the van route and show live tracking; to share your child’s photos, videos, and care updates privately with you; to send relevant notifications; and to keep the service secure and working. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it.
4. Legal basis and consent
We process this data to deliver the school service and with your consent. Because the app handles information about children, the school obtains parental/guardian consent before a child’s information, photos, or videos are added — consistent with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, which requires verifiable parental consent for processing children’s personal data. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 9).
5. Who can see what (privacy by design)
A parent sees only their own child’s information, photos, videos, and care logs — never another family’s. General announcements are visible to all parents. Staff and the administrator see the roster and operational data needed to run the van and the school day. Access is enforced on the server by security rules, not just hidden in the app.
6. How your data is shared
We share data only with Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, notifications, serverless functions) and Google Maps (to display the map and the van’s location). These providers process data only to provide their service to us. See Google’s Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy. We do not share your data with any other third party, and we never sell it.
7. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers used by Firebase. Data may be processed outside your country subject to Google’s safeguards.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your child is enrolled and you use the app, plus a reasonable period afterwards for the school’s records. Live van-location points are transient and used only during the ride. When you ask us to delete your data, or when it is no longer needed, we remove it.
9. Your rights and choices
You may ask the school at any time to access, correct, or delete your and your child’s data, to withdraw consent (e.g. stop photo sharing), or you can turn off location/notification permissions in your phone’s Settings. To exercise any of these, contact info@lillylearningtree.com.
10. Children’s privacy
The app is for parents and school staff, not for children to use directly. Information about a child is added only with parental/guardian consent. We do not knowingly let children create accounts, and we do not market to children.
11. Security
Sign-in uses one-time SMS codes (no passwords to leak). Data travels over encrypted HTTPS and is stored on Google’s secured infrastructure. Each family’s data is restricted by server-side rules. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by the school’s usual channels.
